Yeah I know... I'm failing in my resolution to update this once a week. I just got a bit lazy and kept on putting it off. So what is new? Well right now I'm sore as all get out. Did WAY too much at the gym on Thursday. Went to my friend Jim's 80's party and I was still uber sore. The party was pretty fun. Everyone was in costume. I think it's cause an 80's costume is pretty easy to do. Me, I had on a barrette, an ugly jacket and 3 ties tied all together on top of each other. Pretty much it looked like a 3 layer tie. Sunday I went to a kickball/softball/picnic thing put together by Rick of Famous, Faces, and Funnies. A great comic book store here in town. I have to say it was pretty awesome. I got to realize just how out of shape I am still not in. Oh well. I'll keep hitting the gym, keep running. Eventually it will all even out. It's just my body complaining. Eventually it will learn that I'm not going to listen and just accept it. lol Well right now the body is keeping my brain from working right and i still have to take the clothes out of the dryer.. Soo that's it for today!!
So went to Megacon this weekend. It was fun.. and it was lame. It's really become more and more of an Anime convention. And while I like anime... i get annoyed with all the 15-16 year olds. I felt sooo out of the loop. Yaoi? Yurri? WTF? There was a moment when about a 100 kids began yelling those words at each other. I had to ask one person what they were saying and then another what they meant. It's about Gay Animie. :shakes head: Then there were all these kids with "Glomp Me" signs. I had to ask someone else what that all meant. Seems it means "Hug Me" The best part was the hotel party.... that was pretty fun. and i learned not to ever play "never have I ever". it's not a good game for me. I'm a bad boy. I was annoy with something that happened at PizzaHut. And if your reading this and your a waitress (or have been)... i'm sorry. the menu said personal pan w/up to 3 toppings 3.99. i order bacon, pepperoni and cheese. All three are on the toppings list. The waitress said that it was $1.00 more of xtra cheese. I say that's not what the menu says. She says it's not updated. But, I can just get a cheese lovers with bacon and pepperoni and it will be the same price. So I agree. I get it.. it's yummy. i get the bill. it says my food was 4.99. hmph. so when I pay at the counter i pay to the nearest dollar. the tip was 0.43. Seems after i walked out, my friends who were still there got to hear the cashier balk at my tip and hand the change to the waitress. yeah i guess it was petty. but i was in a grumpy mood. not proud of it. Well enough of that. i've decided to take out my eyebrow piercing. I realized it's time. and it had to come out eventually. it's not like a tattoo, i accepted that i could take it out. it was a spur of the moment thing anyway. the tattoo's i have i had thought about for a long time. also... a guy in his 50's with a tattoo is a badass. a guy in his 50's with a eyebrow piercing just looks kinda meh. All this made me miss DragonCon soo much. OMG!!! I have a list of things to write about here on my desk.. i forgot to bring it home....
so.. February is over. And we are in the enviable month of March. Seems that the half way point to Dcon has been reached. Costumes need to be worked on. Money needs to be actively saved. Preparations need to be made. I have to say that I know that no matter what there will be some manner of procrastination that alway invariably occurs. This can't be helped. the week before the con is always a flurry of madness and stress. At least on the brightside this year I don't have worry about moving in to a house. So what's new this week..nothing too much... still hitting the gym. Still working on getting the motivation to run every morning. It's just that i have to wake up earlier. Going to bed at a decent time is still pretty tricky and i think really is the kicker. Took a nice long walk on the beach from the Eau Galle causeway to the Melbourne causeway. I have to see how far that is. I think it's at least about 5 miles. Just walking in the sun and the sand was pretty relaxing and just watching all the peoples frolicking. On another note. I'm an Uncle it seems. My sister finally had her kid. Carter Joshua Samuels. I think i'm gonna call him CJ. We'll see how long it takes for my sister to put up with that. Damn.. i hate that i think of things to write in this all week but when i get ready to do it.. .i just blank out. maybe i'll just start updating more often.

(no subject)
So i've finally gotten around to combining my need to drink lots of water due to my stupid defective kidneys and my need to shed some pounds. I'm drinking copious amounts of water. At the very least the suggested 64 oz that i'm supposed to drink each day. but i usually go with 150% to 200% of what i need to drink.. all while at work. What does this mean.. it means i've got to go pee every five flippen minutes. God I bet I pee more then my pregnant sister. At least I know i'm being properly hydrated.
I think my dcon costumes will be Snape, OOTP Death Eater, Johnny Depps character from Once Upon a Time in Mexico, and maybe Bat Manuel from the Tick. Thing is there are only 4 days to Dcon... and yes. i'll be doing Snape for most of it.. but i like to change it up a little bit.
Work has continued to be fine.. and my knee has been hurting less and less. which is good. I just hate that it reminds me sometime that it's not fully healed and i feel like an old man. not a pleasant reminder that i'm almost 30. blech.
I'm sending off the camera to get fixed tomorrow. I tried taking pics of my back tat yesterday. Not very successful. huff.
My friends have been trying to convince me to come out of game running retirement. I dunno. I do have a couple in the back burner. Well see. I'll admit i've been giving it more thought.
Well Megacon is in a week or so. i've not gone to any con that is not Dcon in like 3 years. I wonder how small it will feel. I'm pretty sure it will feel like i've left the city and gone to the provinces. We'll see..

Meh!
Ok.. so I broke my flippin camera!!! How?? By being a dumb ass. Ok, so I resolved after seeing a very funny piece of graffiti in a gas station bathroom that I'd start carrying my camera everywhere. My camera-phone just was not cutting it. So I take my camera everywhere. Problem is my OCD requires that my wallet and cell be in my left pocket and my keys in right pocket. the Camera, not being able to occupy the slots in my left pocket was sent to the right pocket. I quickly realized that my keys and phone would have to trade places now.. fine. But of course creature of habit puts keys with phone one day... and what happens... LCD screen cracks. FUCK!! So now i've got to send it off to the manufacturer to see if i can get it fixed under warranty because I did not get accident protection (though i coulda swore i did) when i bought it at best buy. meh And of course it's just when i was getting ready to go on another kick of being vain and taking pics again... well i can still take pics with my older camera i guess... with its lame ass not liking to zoom in or out. meh. I hurt my knee in a rather embarrassing fashion. Lets just say it was done in a NSFW manner and leave it at that. pretty much my right kneecap decided it wanted to see what it would be like to see what the world would be like on the right side of my body instead of the front of my body. took a break from the gym for a couple of days to let it heal. I'm going to check it out tomorrow and see how things go. Speaking of the gym and what not... i tried on this old shirt of mine because i thought it would look good with this Sltheryin tie I bought. I was curious because the shirt when I bought it was very tight fitting. (I do that... I buy clothes that I want to fit in to sometimes to ensure when I do thin out that i'll have clothes.. it also helps to have a gauge of weight loss.) Well it turns out the shirt is baggy on me know!! woot!! Ok.. i think thats it for now...
So the new back tattoo got finished last sunday. It's all colored in. Right now i'm in the very very annoying peeling/itchy stage. I hate this part. I mean it's not as bed as getting it done, but that part only lasts for a little while. Intense but short. This itching... blech. Well the skin underneath I'm told is has healed and is no longer red blotchy like it was when it was first done. I think i'll be taking a picture in a few days. Work thankfully has become more manageable. I realized that shit storm of work that was suddenly piled on me was just the same work that i thought i was behind on. this happens when people tell you "i need this done now" instead of you looking to see what you have to do. When finally the shit storm of demands ended and I got a chance to look at my list of things i needed to follow up on, I realized that most of them had already been taken care of. Whew!! Also the rooms for Dcon have been booked. Sadly a little to late. By the time our big group got together the Marriott's D-con reserved room were already booked. So our rooms are going to be an extra hundred bucks. Blech and Blech!!! So this week is Vday... 3 day weekend!! woot!! Saldly i feel sorry for the poor saps at my job that have to work on Friday. 2 others will be out that day and the added workload will be a killer on the folks that will be there. Soo sorry. What sucks was this weekend we were supposed to be camping and fishing... but sadly the boat did not work so we just hung out. Boo boo to that. I think i need to do another narcissistic myspace photoshoot this week. It's been too long. Well.. thats all for today i think!

new resolution
So i've come upon yet another new years resolution. The previous one to lose about 20 or so pounds. That and work out more of course. So whats new with me, well new job thats one. I got laid off from my old one last October and got a new one 2 weeks later. On the bright side, this one pays more and is more fun. I can't browse myspace all day long, but i can listen to my mp3's all day long. Also for xmas i got a sweet Slythyerin Hoodie and a new tattoo. Sadly the tattoo could not be finished in one session, but thankfully tomorrow it will be. It's a DNA molecule on my back. The detail is very very intricate. Tom at King Street was cursing me a good one. LOL.. but I know he's the best I've every seen with detail work, and i'd trust no one to do it. When it's finished i'll be sure to post a picture. So over the week me and Amanda (whose become WAY too good at Halo 3 btw....tale for another day) have been playing Sorting hat, and been thinking of what House's our friends should be in. so whats happened this week? nothing new or exciting. OI've been putting in the massive overtime at work. Pretty much untill they tell me I can't, I work m-f 8 to 6:30 and saturday 9 to 5. Since im hourly I get time and a half so I can put the extra money toward the 2k fee we need for the county's 1st time home buyer's assistence program. If it all works out we'll be in a house 2x the size of the one im in now and for a great price. I've got friend that recently moved and she's desperate to sell her house and its just the model me and amanda want. We are soo psyched!!! What it means though is that we will soooo have to buckle down and not spend money on anything, and just put everything to the side. I know we'll get this going and its gonna be awesome!!!!

WOW... thats about all I can really say.. WOW. Dragon-Con this year was even better then last year. And that is for Flippin Fraken Effin sure! Last year was year one and it was just a total "wander around like starry eye'd boy and the wonders" I felt like Jack Skelington singing when he found Christmas town! This year was different. I had some idea what to expect, and it was there. This year I actually got to keep my head on my shoulders and talked to people instead of just gawk. I made alot of new friends (hence my vow to keep livejournal updated at least once a week). For those of you that don't know I went as Prof. Snape, and I want to thank everyone that suggested I go as Snape since I already have the Death Eater tatoo on my arm. I have to say that the costume was a HIT!! Thank you Amanda and John for crafting the Jacket, and Rogena for doin my hair! Oh and to Tom for doing such great work on the TAT. Now photo's, shit i've got alot of them, I just croped out those unworthy or non appropriate for uploading and i'm left with about 440. Thankfully I found a program that will do drag and click uploads to photobucket so that's meta sweet. Man I have to say again dragon con was very awesome and I look forward to all the fun (and all the ladies next year.. ::grin:: ) Well it's about time to go to dinner..
